A bunch of those tin tinkers guys got together and set up to make their own HOT-DIPPED tin, instead of just using modern electro-plated tin. There is a big difference in how well it holds up and resists rusting.

A couple guys to contact would be Bob at Backwoods Tin (don't have his site bookmarked), or Jim Kimpell from Fort Dodge IA at Highhorse Trading Jim Kimpell brass kettles rob stone blankets

They are both pretty involved in the national organization, and in making that Hot-Dipped tin available. So either should be able to direct you to sources of supply - including for the modern electro-plated tin.

Their annual tinsmiths convergence (convention) is supposed to be down in central Iowa this summer.

Hope this helps.
