Interesting File Handle

I spotted this in an antique shop last week, although I didn’t want to spend the exorbitant price they were asking. However, it’s an interesting design, and I might forge up something similar at some point.

I have one like that too; was 50 cents IIRC  Generally I just use a golf ball with a hole drilled through it.

I've seen several designs like it. Typically I wont pay the crazy price either. I have many a wooden handles and can make what I need. I "might" even have one of the style in my masses of clutter.

I have three of those handles. Two were my grandfathers and the other one was my fathers. They don't see much use as the wing nuts have a tendency to loosen up some, just as I establish a rhythm and have to stop to tighten them. I use them mostly with small rat-tail and triangle files.

Good grief they have that one tagged at $35 US, maybe I should put mine in the safe.

Or sell them and put the money to better use.

Put red LEDs in them and use them for eyes/lights...
