Malleus
Much anticipated delivery today of 2 Kohlswa Anvils from Italy. They weren't cheap, and it was somewhat of a headache, but they definitely do not disappoint. The single horn is 150kg (332 lbs), and the double horn is 160kg (353 lbs). It's amazing how much bigger they look in person, rather than sitting on the pallet. Much larger that I really need, but then there's the 'cool' factor. Waiting on 2 more from Austria. TWISTEDWILLOW
Very nice! if you get tired of one of them you can always send it over to Stilwell Oklahoma I know a guy here that will take very good care of it! Lol
Malleus
lol... I bet you do! Probably the only thing I'll get tired of, is working around them when they're not actually being used. They'll take up a fair amount of real estate in my little shop.
TWISTEDWILLOW
That’s okay! you’ll just have to build a bigger shop to match the anvils! of course then you’ll have more empty space and then you’ll have to find more stuff to fill it up!
Malleus
I like the way you think! I do need another shop, but it might have to wait a bit. I'm about to start school to get my rotorcraft certificate.
Frosty
Nice anvils. Once you earn your certificate I hear Wile Coyote has work for a helicopter pilot with a couple big anvils. Frosty The Lucky.
TWISTEDWILLOW
I just had a thought, I wonder if the helicopter shop has any good scrap laying around?
Frosty
Oh yeah, they replace a lot of bearings often. I got a 5gl. plastic bucket about 1/2 full of bearing balls from a helo mechanic who was moving. There was other stuff and he made me take it all but there were a LOT of bearings, some up to about 3/4", some smaller than 1/4" and a full spread between. I had to put half of them in another bucket to get either in the pickup. Canister damascus hmmm? Frosty The Lucky.
