slimpickins
Going to fabricate a Guillotine tool. What’s the best clearance size between the dies and the holder/frame?

Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Yep... I used a .030 feeler gauge.
JHCC
Okay, if you want to get picky about it!
Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
I made one where the dies just rattled and moved without binding and it works just as well as the "precision" one. Usually good enough is just that. Also I'm not allowed to play with cards any more.
JHCC
Yes, you never know where that might lead. Quote “If once a man indulges himself in murder, very soon he comes to think little of robbing; and from robbing he comes next to drinking and Sabbath-breaking, and from that to incivility and procrastination. Once begun upon this downward path, you never know where you are to stop. Many a man has dated his ruin from some murder or other that perhaps he thought little of at the time.” ― Thomas de Quincey

ThomasPowers
Artistic ones are usually easier to solve over the common run of the mill ones. Have you tried tarot cards as spacers; or did you not want to fool around with those? On spacing: if used heavily; the dies will heat up and expand so you need to leave enough space for that for the moving die.
Frosty
I used a business card. Close enough is close enough. Frosty The Lucky.
