Beerwolf_Viking
Hello, brand spankin new here. I am wondering thoughts if this gas forge would be ok to rest on these concrete slabs or should they be resting on fire bricks as pictured below? The forge has legs so the bottom is about an inch from the surface. Think it is necessary to rest on the fire bricks? Originally I had the two bricks stacked in front to give an even shoulder but then I second guessed myself thinking maybe they should go under? Gracias. Charles R. Stevens
Depends on how well the forge is insulated. It’s unlikely the forge will get hot enough to a Donald the concrete
Beerwolf_Viking
I would say it is well insulated since it has the wool with refrac cement though it does still put out enough heat to fry an egg. Yeah I think I second guessed myself. Thanks for your input.
