Xenodice
If I was told, I certainly do not remember for to many years have passed, but does anyone possibly no anything about it and from the pictures you can see the horn has some damage. Should I fix it and how would be best? I do know it weighs about 300ish pounds. thank you, Walt
BIGGUNDOCTOR
Nice anvil. That tip of the horn has just had a lot of use. I personally would not worry about it. I rarely use the horn on my anvils, and if I need a small pointy item I have some that I can put in the hardy hole or a vise. The offset hardy makes me think French anvil. ThomasPowers
Also how/if you can repair it depends on if the anvil was wrought iron, cast iron or cast steel---which you didn't mention! I've never messed with my anvils horns. I don't want anything sharper at that level in my shop!
