Learning to make knives from a knife maker

I know one of the best blade smiths around. His name is Cory Miller of "Miller Custom Knives". I'm so excited and learning the true tricks of the trade. I don't want to jump into the deep end. I want absorb like a sponge everything he's willing to teach me. So that maybe one day if I'm lucky enough someone will hold a piece of my cutlery and say this was formed ny a true blacksmith, artist and will be passed down through many generations to come.

I guess he is not around my neck of the woods, because I haven't heard of him. Where might your neck of the woods be?

I'm glad you're learning from someone. That will save you a lot of time in the long run. I looked up his name to find out where you were located, but for some reason I get the feeling that was the whole point.. Sorry if I'm way off base there.
