welder19
Never saw belows like that before, they must move some serious air, could probably blow the coal out of the fire pot if your not careful. welder19

Bentiron1946
I saw the hammers and and thought " Wow, Now that is an artist!". His pics of his work are sure impressive. They sure look well balanced. I haven't quit figured out that set of bellows yet. How does it compress the air? Big drum, Little drum, but then what is the seal between the two? I don't see it. Marc
I'm guessing water is the seal. The big barrel is filled up to the vertical opening of the funky U-shaped blow pipe, and the small barrel goes over that straight vertical section. Lifting the small barrel fills it with air through the valves. Lowering it forces the air to escape out the pipe as the water "rises" in the small barrel. Pretty neat design, and would push a barrel-full of air every time.
Bentiron1946
Water? OK, I guess that water would work but not in New England or the Rockies but great for Southern AZ.
