ThomasPowers
Depends on the firebrick and depends on the burner(s). (And how much propane you are willing to pay for!)
Vegasheathen
most likely ill buy premade burners and ive heard soft firebricks work better is that correct?
ThomasPowers
Depends on the definition of "better". Insulating fire bricks use less gas and come up to temp faster but are more friable. Hard firebrick take more time and gas to come up to temps but are less friable. Many types of insulating firebricks may be less flux resistant. Some types of hard firebricks are quite flux resistant. So which is "better"? Have you visited the large blacksmith shop in Rowe New Mexico yet? It's a bit over an hour on I-25 from Las Vegas New Mexico! Mikey98118
Have you looked through the Forges 101 thread? It's good to have a better idea what the questions should be, and then try to some up the answers that serve YOU best.
