WeldShmeld
Good day to all! We are looking for a certified welding process for welding forklift eyes/collars to blank forklift forks. For some reason, we can't find much info of assistance in the usual sources. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
Steve Sells
In case you didn't know. the world is a large place, and certifications are regional, so not knowing where you are makes your question near impossible to answer because its hard to get correct answers when you don't ask the correct questions, but if you don't care about who made the certs: 1. grind mating surfaces clean 2. preheat 3. weld 4. slow cool There ya go I certify it for my shop. If you want more detailed answers we need more detailed questions, including but not limited to: What type of welding? What location? what load? John McPherson
Well, if you are interested in buying a pre-certified welding procedure, they are available from the American Welding Society.
