I see that the Boilermaker's Association had a 1912 convention 

drat: from the Abridged history of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers: "The tenth consolidated convention was held at Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1912"  Not exactly what we were looking for though.

I did see a possibility, the Alabama Bar they've had meetings that long as a recent one was: 143rd Alabama State Bar Annual Meeting  

So I looked up the proceedings from the 1912 meeting: held July 12 & 13 but in Montgomery Alabama

Isn't Sloss Furnace in Birmingham? It's an old steel mill dating before the civil war. There was an ABANA conference there many years ago. I believe it is a state historical site. They may be a place to check out.
