metalmangeler Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 If you forge V jaw tongs they should work for both round and square stock. Make the same number you had planned just more sizes. Quote
John Martin Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 Okay, I will think about that metal..... I started on my shop today with my dad and younger brother, this is how far we've gotten. We'll be finishing it tonight. Here are some pictures so far. 8widex12longx8high so.... 8x12x8 Big enough for me right now. Will update this post in about three or four hours with pictures of the finished shop. Took the chimney off, making an extension for it right now. Little brother got into the last picture. lol. Quote
hammerkid Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 You get er done yet? Once you get the shop built . Add sheet metal or even tin that is gray or sliver around the walls where the forge will be. Quote
John Martin Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 I'm going to. Don't worry. Lol. Most likely this coming weekend it'll be all done. Quote
John Martin Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 The shop is finally done, and all is going really well, I'm having three different smiths come out to smith within the next month, one is just beginning and im giving them my piece or RR track, and some good tongs.
