Killerace
Do I need rigidzer I put kastolite 30 on? If so how much will a pint cover?
Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
You put rigidizer on the insulation before putting on the Kast-o-lite 30 on. The coverage depends upon the size of the forge and how many layers of Kaowool.
Killerace
No offense intended but I don't think that's how that works a pint is a pint doesn't matter how big your Forge is.
Jealdi
The rigidizer you can buy here on IFI should cover 6.26 square feet per pint according to the post by Glenn. As for any other rigidizer, without knowing what you are using, we do cannot really tell you how much it will cover.
Killerace
Okay thank you I must have missed that part.
ThomasPowers
And if the fiber is already covered then you don't put rigidizer on the rigid cover. You can save it for your next reline---forge linings is like car tires: they both need to be replaced with use. Better tires, better lining jobs last longer---as long as there are not accidents to them!
