Jasent, what is your altitude?

I’m not sure what your referring to Jennifer.  If I’ve offended you in some way I apologize.  I’m always in a good mood.

Is it because you are in a low O2 environment?????   Lol, chuckle, chuckle..       Read what I wrote again..  LOL..   Maybe a little to high in altitude..

the photo you posted was pretty.. I was curious about your terrain and local area..   That was funny..

Im in NE Washington at 2200’.   It is beautiful here.   And thank you.  Was 19 that morning and we had 15 min of sunshine just at dawn.  Every thing was pink but it changed so fast I barely got a pic in time.

Met up with the other members of the Farm/Practical Blacksmithing demo team for the ABANA 2020 conference in Saratoga, NY in June.  Google it.  We've been meeting up in our shops around New England pretty much every month to work out our demo. This time we were at Lucien Avery's shop in Hardwick, VT.  Also present were myself, Joel Tripp, Dereck Glasser, and Med Chandler. Each of us have a specific focus to our blacksmithing, and will lead the others in our group thru projects during the various demo times during the conference.  We mostly worked on Lucien's part today namely carving tools, but also covered a little of Dereck's demo of German style scroll and leaf work.

Had two more students come over from the college for an intro lesson. Who knew S-hooks and nails could make people so happy!

(Interestingly, they’re both also woodworkers. He makes longbows, and she carves woodblocks for printing and is taking a sloyd class.)

Got a couple brake drum forges  mostly finished this morning (I really like the one with wheels), and then after lunch CTG came over and we got some tools made. Made 3 Brazeal style tapered hot cuts, two top hot cuts of different styles, two hammer eye punches, and a hammer eye drift. Did pretty good, a little over 5 hours of forging.
