BIGGUNDOCTOR
Well, since July a few tons if steel, iron, and rubber have made their way to my place. The white 56 Imperial was supposed to be a parts car, but it is in pretty decent shape, so may end up getting built instead as the 4x4 project I had in mind for the black 56 imperial. The METRO is a 1960, and was a random find. Dented, but solid body. 1962 Dodge D100 chassis with polyhead 318 1962 Dodge A100 pickup body parts
BIGGUNDOCTOR
Just too stinking hot to work on anything at the moment. This week is supposed to run 110F - 115F, and at those temps any metal item in the sun is too hot to handle. I need to get the METRO and A100 off the trailer and go get a M37 in town, but we have been working weekends too. I work nights, and that is about the only time during the summer you can get any work done. Waiting for the Covid thing to end so I can go to TX to get my donor truck for the 4x4 project. I had wanted to fly down and drive back, but my friend is interested in an 06 Cummins I have, so it will be a drive down and back trip. So, who else has a bad case of Carowner virus? Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
I thinned the herd a while back when I sold two Jeeps that I was planing to restore. A 1948 CJ2 and a 1953 CJ3. Just this week we had to trade in our favorite ride a 2003 Pontiac Vibe. It was getting tired with 17 years and 177,000 miles on it. We traded it in on a 2018 Ford Escape SE, left a big hole in the wallet but should serve us well. Still have and drive regularly a 1953 Willy's Overland M38A1 Jeep and a 1987 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 hatchback.
