Kurt W
I just mounted my first real anvil. I thought I read somewhere that the black paint needs to be removed from the top and sides of the horn before use. Is that correct or will using it just burn it off? If I need to remove it can I just use 80-120 grit sandpaper? Thanks Kurt

Rojo Pedro
I used my angle grinder and a worn 120 grit flap disc on mine. The paint was so thick that the wire brush just melted it around the wire brush took the clear coat off the face no problem so don't sand on the face your going to want to use that same Flap disk to soften the edges a bit as well have fun - nice anvil
ThomasPowers
You want to breath burning paint? OK; what's a little lung damage these days...
