I have a chance to add to my collection, I have not yet seen it in person but the owner sent me this pic and is interested in trading it for some electrical work we are doing on his fix-up house. He said it weighs 125 lbs. I have Googled Mankel anvils and read some older threads on them and I see they are good anvils (with the exception of the stolen castings but I don't know when that was, or if there will be a date on this one). I also read that Mr Mankel was still around a few years ago  and I might give him a call. In the condition shown with the stand what do you think, $300-$400?

I have. Everyone is real friendly and its a great place to meet our brethren.

They get a good crowd and normally have several forges - anvils going. They encourage the kids and newbies to give it a try which I like

I need to join the group and keep forgetting. I will tonite - thanks for the reminder and maybe see you at the next one
