Bojan_d
Hello everyone. My name is Bojan, and I am from Bosnia. I just bought myself and anvil and a hand cranked forge. I have a question for all more experienced members . I order Hofi Dvd about ergonomic blacksmithing . My question is . Is this Hofi hammer considered ergonomic and can it efficintly be used by people with bad joints ? Thanks you .

Chris C
Bojan_d. Glad to have you on the forum. Lots of good people here who can help you get started. Congratulations on your new forge and hammer. Hofi hammers are highly respected from what I've read. Don't own one myself, but I'd think your "bad joints" would benefit more from learning the proper way to swing a hammer rather than the type of hammers you own. There are a lot of Youtube videos that show proper swinging of the hammer for beginners that would help you protect your joints.
Glenn
Learn to let the hammer do the work and do not put stress on your joints. Carefully analyze Hofi's swing and holding technique for hammers. It will work with any hammer.
