JHCC
As I'm getting closer to finishing up The Presscious, I find myself thinking about tooling. Most of the videos out there of hydraulic presses in use show dies of various shapes attached to the press itself, and I'm planning on making (for starters) a pair of flat and a pair of round dies. However, I don't see many videos of people using hand-held tools (hacks, fullers, flatters, etc) the way they do with power hammers, and I'm wondering why. Is this a safety issue? Or just uncommon? Frosty
It's safe enough you just don't see videos very often. Guys have used hacks, and fullers in the press on FIF, not often but occasionally. What you really need is a clear space centered on the piston to use. Anything that fits with the work and is strong enough is a why not? Frosty The Lucky.
