My late fathers anvil ended up being a surprise

Welcome aboard Eddie, glad to have you. If you'll put your general location in the header you might be surprised how many members live within visiting distance.

Here I was all primed to make a wise crack about taking your anvil out on a date if nobody else wanted to but it's an old joke. I'm sure someone with a copy of Anvils in America will be along before long.

Frosty The Lucky.

Thank you frosty. I live in Carlisle Pennsylvania. My dad had this anvil ever since I was a lad and have no idea where he got it from. It sat in his garage many years after he died and I never paid any attention to it until I started getting into making knives. I was surprised to find out it was a Hay Budden. I’ll try to post pictures of it. 74EE12C2-6666-4AC5-9B8F-94009EE1CDAC.thumb.jpeg.d94f54958104997bd7fa41021e16a544.jpeg8E3A42EA-5413-466A-94E9-13F27ABCDF35.thumb.jpeg.485a6802568f237d2b150b7cd179ccd3.jpeg

Welcome to IFI. We won't remember this once leaving this post, hence the suggestion to edit your profile to show location.

BTW this thread will help getting the best out of the forum. READ THIS FIRST

Oh AIA says your anvil was made in 1907. She looks to be in very good condition too.
