Bustapepper
I'm very new to this wonderful hobby. My first project was to build a set of tongs. Then I built a chisel to build a leaf. I built 2 as practice. Just wanted to show everyone my leafs. I'm proud of them also a pic of an old sprocket I cut up and assembled into a makeshift anvil. It's crude but pretty cool looking in person.

Frosty
NICE leaf Busta! You even turned a respectable snub end scroll for a finial! Oh you have De makins of one heck of a smith. You'll be so much happier finding a better anvil. Check out the improvised anvil threads for ideas. Frosty The Lucky.

JHCC
Terrific start!!! Completely respectable first tongs, and the leaf is great. You clearly have a good eye for shape and proportion, and I look forward to seeing what happens when your skill catches up with your talent. Daswulf
You're doing great Busta, keep it up. Wish my first leaf and tongs looked that good.
ausfire
Very nice design features on that first leaf. I like the way the scroll sits against the shoulder of the leaf. It leaves my first one looking a bit ordinary!
