Whiskeysup
Found this today scrounging for blacksmithing tools. Tag said it was a bench anvil. Measures 5.5 in tall, 3.5 in wide and 1.5 in thick. For $6.00 figured I couldn't go wrong. Any opinions what it is?
Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Looks like a specialized swage block or power hammer die to me.
Frosty
I don't think power hammer die, I don't see a good way to connect it. At the moment I'd say it's a bench anvil, swage. Frosty The Lucky.

ThomasPowers
My guess is for working cable
Whiskeysup
Can you explain further what you mean by working cable?
ThomasPowers
It's like rope work only done with wire cable and thus needing tooling to make bends, splices, install thimbles, etc.
