Wrought Iron Farm
Anyone know anything about this old girl? She has a cracked cast iron pot, so I’m going to use an old farm disc as a pot. Here she is if anyone had information I would appreciate it.
ThomasPowers
Well they were made and sold by a bunch of different manufacturers. The 1905 Sears Roebuck catalog has six setups using them in it for example (US$4 for one of them). Without a patent number or date or manufacturer on it it will be hard to get a maker for it. BIGGUNDOCTOR
I would just use the original pan. Either braze it, or add some bolted/riveted pieces to hold it together, then clay the interior. It will work fine.
pnut
You're can drill a hole at the termination of the cracks to keep them from getting any longer. Then follow BIGGUNDOCTOR s advice. Pnut (Mike)
