HammerHeart
Hey guys I've had this anvil since I first started smithing. And I've tried doing research and I can't find anything on it. I don't post much because I've learned to search the forum before posting because you guys hate repeating yourselves over and over. I'm just wondering if any of you old timers know what this anvil is. I've posted pics of it on the forum before but I never focused on this anvil alone. I appreciate any help. Pr3ssure
Kind of looks like someone made it from one really big block of steel. Looks like nothing I've ever seen before though. Cool looking to say the least.
caotropheus
Also the lack of feet points to DIY anvil.
HammerHeart
It looks really well cut for a homemade anvil. They must have spent alot of time on it. And thanks for the feedback guys. It has an odd ring to it. It doesn't ring like steel or wrought, but has more than cast. It is also a really bright, almost like a mirror when I clean it up. ThomasPowers
How does it spark?
HammerHeart
Very little sparks. Weakly. It is pretty soft material.
pnut
Whether it's homemade or not I don't know but I've seen anvils with similar stepped horns. Pnut (Mike) I think I seen a new anvil for sale that looks a little like it. I'll post the link if I can find it.
