Notright
I'm building my fist forge. But I'm not sure about what is the best, or best way to install the fire brick. I appreciate any advice or suggestions I can get. Here is a picture of what I have accomplished so far. ( its a gas forge ).
Mikey98118
The best way to install a firebrick is not to do that at all. There are much better options for making a floor: High alumina kiln shelves from a pottery supply; semi-insulating cast refractory (Kast-O-lite 30 from Wayne are available in small bags for the purpose); Thermal Ceramic K26 insulating firebricks from eBay. Any of these alternates will make your forge heat up much better.
