miotal_mactire
Greetings everyone, I have just bought an old swage block, i plan on using it for many years to come but id love to know where it comes from or atleast how old it is. The only mark i found on it says 4 1/2 in a small circle but i think that has something to do with the side dentations as the largest half circle is 4 1/2 inches wide. Can anyone put an age on this block? Thanks! ~ miotal_mactire
ThomasPowers
Most swage blocks were not marked, so you will have to try to match it up with ones shown in catalogs and remember that the ones drawn for ads were often "off" or reused from other ads.
