effenoam
I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin and im having a hard time finding a cheap anvil. Ive got some people looking for anvils, but in the mean time i havent been able to find a scrapyard that will sell to the public and has more than just cars. Is anyone from Milwaukee and know of a good scrapyard or place to look for an anvil (trying to keep it cheap). Thanks
Daswulf
Well, if you don't find an In to a yard you can look around the Restores or junk shops for a sledgehammer head to use just to get started. Also check out some fabrication shops or machine shops. Many of them have drops or leftovers they might sell for a good price.
ThomasPowers
Dozer repair places---dozers are *made* from improvised anvils! Fork Lift repair places---but you have to be sure to tell them you want to use a broken tine for an anvil!
Timber Ridge Forge
Yeah I live south of you and when ever I get up north. I have hit up dozens of junk yards and found one anvil once. Don’t expect to find one there you will be looking for many years

I added my location, and no I never did find out. I'm just going to go for it. I joined the USMC reserves and kinda put blacksmithing off for a while, but Its more realistic for me to do now. So here i am. Thanks for the link btw.
