Mickeysteelworks
Can anyone tell me more about my anvil. Its a Fulton 75lbs. I paid $225 for it a few months ago...how did I do? Thank you!
Rojo Pedro
Looks to be in great shape. $3 a pound would be a good price around here. Have fun!
Stash
Well, according to AIA, it is a cast steel anvil made for Sears in the '20's, and the producer is unknown. Looks like a nice find. Just don't use a sledge on it. Steve
anvil
Sears just went bankrupt, so the warranty is prolly no good.
JHCC
A few years back, some wag wrote to the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in England demanding a refund for the bell they had cast in 1742 for the Pennsylvania State House, as it had cracked. Whitechapel wrote back to assure the complainer that they would be happy to refund the full purchase price, so long as the bell was returned in its original packaging. lazyassforge
I have a 200 lb Colombian anvil. It has “Fulton” stamped in the side of the anvil (upside down by the way). I have always wondered if Colombian had cast the Fulton anvils
ThomasPowers
Could be; Sears used a lot of different manufacturers for stuff and rebranded them with it's tradenames---like the ACME anvils made by both HB and Trenton at differing times IIRC.
