What kind of anvil is this

Recommended Posts

Its an early Trenton anvil that weighs approximately 111 lbs. The value of the anvil is highly dependent on your location.

If you are in South Africa, Poland.or  New Zealand it price would be in the local monetary unit.  Without knowing your location

its anybody's guess. Since almost every country in the world is represented on IFI you'll need to be a little clearer on where you

are at..

Please post a picture of the side of the anvil, horn facing right.  There might be some remnants of the logo stamp still visible.

Indiana,

We won't remember this after leaving this thread and United States is a big place. You might want to add that to your profile so it shows up with every post. Can't tell about prices in Indiana but here in Arkansas it would go for $250 up to $400 dollars U.S. depending on how the ring & rebound were. The face plate looks to be in good condition. Did all the tools shown come with it? If so that would boost the price.

How fast do you want to sell it?  That alone would vary the price by a dollar a pound or more!

At Quad-State, Troy Ohio, last weekend it would have been priced at 5 to 6 US dollars a pound; but I didn't see many anvils selling at those prices!
