Michael Walker
My name is Michael. I’m brand new to smithing and I’m looking for little tips and advice. I have an anvil, two good vices and a few hammers. There are a couple of other tools I’m going to pick up mainly tongs of some sort. I’m planning on using a propane Forge and would love some ideas on something that will last but isn’t huge or very expensive.

ThomasPowers
Propane forges are rather like tires for your car; you can get ones that last longer but you will still wear them out over time. You may want to look into propane forges that have a good solid shell but are fairly easy to reline.
