Mcmurder77
Locally I can get Kastolite and Mizzou for about the same price. If I rememeber correctly somewhere I read that the Mizzou is more flux resistant than the Kastolite? Am I remembering that correctly? And does it even matter it I am putting meteikote over the refectory? I have read so much over the last couple of weeks that somethings start to blend together. WayneCoeArtistBlacksmith
I think that Kast-0-Lite is the superior product for lining a forge. I have never had a problem with flux eating the Kast-0-Lite. Also Kast-0-Lite is a light weight insolating product. You get a lighter forge and better insolated. Let me know if I can help you. You can send me a pm or e-mail. Wane Coe
Frosty
Washing it with Matrikote will protect almost anything from flux erosion. You're good. Frosty The Lucky.
