Hamorin
Hello, I am wondering if anyone has information on this anvil. I think it says Fireside and have not been able to find anything about it other than the name Fireside on a list of anvils. Thank you for your time! Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Welcome to IFI. Where in the world is it located? Lakeside anvils were made by Hay Budden. Yours looks like one. A nice anvil indeed. Hope you have read about not grinding on the face. Speaking of reading, have you read this thread yet? It will help with getting the best out of IFI. Hamorin
HI - Thank you for the reply. The anvil is in NW Minnesota. Yes, I know not to grind the face. This anvil is one that I am considering buying. My work anvil is a 189lb Arm&Hammer. I'll try to get my location in my profile! Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Another maker of the Lakeside was Trenton, I think for Montgomery Ward, both are good anvils. Yours should weigh close to 122 pounds. A&H's are also good anvils, how about pictures of it, we love pictures.
