Brazer Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 I know this is not forging, but my working with my hands making tree of life cabochons and dream catchers twisted wire trees keeps me busy and my mind sharp. I got more people that want me to teach twisting wire into art than I got time to do anything for myself. That's good. I showed the buyer of my anvil stuff how to make the iron crosses. I even give him a copy of the cut sheet of how to make the cuts before forging. Quote
Frosty Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Those are beautiful Brazer! Good, the more you do the more and faster your brain will heal itself. The old thing about nerves and brains not healing isn't correct but time is the enemy so the sooner you get to pushing the more and faster issues will heal. Besides how lovely they are knowing you're still in the game puts a big smile on my old mug! Frosty The Lucky. Quote
Daswulf Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Awesome work. They are really nice. What are you getting the copper wire from? I have opportunities to get copper wire from junk car parts but it's usually thin strand. I usually try to save longer wires for whatever use. Quote

I get mine from house wiring usually 12/3 solid core wire the ground is without insulation and stripping the other 2 isn't hard. New construction sites usually have throw away short pieces. Get permission from the contractor before scrounging. I had several rolls left from when I built my house. Another source is old worn out electric motors. Quote
ianinsa Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 nice work, so even with your issues you still have some dexterity? keep at it Quote
