Barrenlander Posted April 15 Getting back into blacksmithing after about 10 years away. Took a basic course 20+ years ago and played around for about 10 or so years. Haven't done any since I moved down here from Alberta in 07. Still have 200# and 75# anvil, a few sets of tongs, miscellaneous hardies, chisels etc. Need to rebuild my propane forge. Got dropped when I moved. Have new lining and masonry on order so should be pounding hot steel again this summer. Lots of good info on this. Hope to contribute some knowledge myself in the future. Anyways, greetings to all, looking forward to learning new things.

swedefiddle Posted April 15 Good Morning, Welcome from the Left Coast. Ontario Artist Blacksmith Association is alive and well. Get in touch with them, there are things to do, people to see. Neil
Barrenlander Posted April 16 Thanks for the welcome. Frosty, made hangers, coat racks, other basic ornamental stuff. Pokers, shovels for woodstove. Tooling for the anvil, hardies, chisel and punches, a few tongs. Got most of the basics down, hope to get into more complex and artistic type things when my skills come back and develop.
