"Donkey" hammer

After the dog head hammer post some ideas traspired. After digging through some hammers tonight I found a junky claw hammer begging for a more interesting life. 

So here is a Jack... Er. Uh Donkey head hammer.

When I make those I call them "Jack Hammers".  I have carried one for "Show and Tell" to SOFA for years and had many people ask to take pictures, asked if I minded if they tried to make one.  I always told them to go ahead but send me a picture.  I have gotten a number of pictures in return.

Try taking another hammer head and forge the face flat to about 3/8" thick and 2" wide and make a "Hammer Head" shark.

That is really cool. You should keep it on the hammer rack and when you have someone over that wants to smith, ask them for the ass hammer and see what they do. LOL
