BigBoreSavant
So today I picked up my first “aye Budden” it’s a pretty little thing I’d guess it to be about 150# or so. The name and weight are all but worn off but I can see enough to read Hay Budden. I just ordered a copy of anvils in American but it will not be here for a week (in cheap and shipping chaps my backside) anyhow serial is 12 11 93 I can find a lot on 12500- but nothing in this range. Pre 1908? Anyhow it’s late but I will have time tomorrow after work to fire up the forge and start beating some of the rust off of this puppy. I may get ambitious and hit the face with a quick wire brush. The horn is blunt and there are a few chips on the edge but the face itself is very flat and not but one or two miss hits I can find. I’m happy about it.
