GMoore
Already have built a vertical quench tank, but am looking to build a smaller, horizontal tank for quenching just portions of a knife blade. Ideas?
Jim Coke
Greetings G, An old water style fire extinguisher works well . They are stainless steel and you can cut them in a boat form with a cutoff disc easily. Just forge up a few supports . I use them for many things.. Forge on and make beautiful things Jim
Lou L
I use an decommissioned military ordinance case. It is about 20” long and maybe 10” deep. It seals tight and won’t leak. I paid about $20 for it I think. I’m certain there are larger free options available but mine locks shut so I don’t spill and works for me.
