Daswulf
Thanks Seldom. I'm already planning another one as a wall mount coat hook.
BillyBones
"Elizabeth loves octopuses ( octopi?)" A little off subject but technically both are correct, and both are wrong. The octopus is a very solitary creature and is very, very rarely seen in a pair, much less a group. They are so rare that there is no word for octopus in the plural sense. Nice octopus though. Daswulf
Lol it's nice to be right and wrong I guess. Now that I'm looking I can add octopodes to the list.

bigb
How about an Octopus's Garden? I'd like to be under the sea In an octopus' garden in the shade He'd let us in, knows where we've been In his octopus' garden in the shade…
Daswulf
Under da sea. Trying the pipe method. So far a pain but not so bad. Ugh.
bigb
Did you split the legs one cut at a time or two sides of the pipe at once?
Daswulf
I used a porta bandsaw and cut down the length. I could have used a cutoff wheel and done one at a time.

Of course, I even noticed the portaband in the background but it didn't connect. I guess I'll never make detective.
Daswulf
Hah! I didn't even know I had it in the background. Working more on the octopus now.
Daswulf
Done for the night on this one. Got the last 4 legs tapered out and spread the base starting with a ball pien then ball hitch hardy hole tool. Now it's time to decide what this sucker will Do. Next I'll round the tentacles a little more then shape them and then bend the "head" back. Then curl the tentacles in whatever position. Creepy enough? Oh yeah also will chisel at the tentacle base to further the them back.
