Glenn
An interesting modification to a charcoal forge table to make the fire deeper,
beammeupscotty
I do much the same thing with standard red brick to make my coal or coke fire deeper. The fire pot in my antique forge really isn't quite deep enough.
Charles R. Stevens
I have a mixing bowl just like the one used to cast that, I hope (s)he didn't use Portland cement. But it is a very quick and inventive way to wrangle charcoal
Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Looks like clay cut with a wire to me.

(M)
i have a JABOD forge that I run on wood/charcoal, and i use chunks of firewood to contain the mound of coals. seems to work pretty good at containing everything and sealing off 2 sides of the firepot which is about 4 inches deep.
