Hotshoein4 (Mark)
Scored this the other day. It's in beautiful condition. Been trying to figure out what this vise is. Almost looks like a PW, but I can't find any markings. The jaws measure about 5 3/4-7/8". Somewhere in that area. Thanks, Mark
Frank Turley
Quote Might be a PW. Sometimes, there is a single digit or letter stamped on the box when you take it apart.
Hotshoein4 (Mark)
Thank you. I will look for it.
Hotshoein4 (Mark)
Here's the only stamp I found. Either "10" or "1C"
Frank Turley
http://It looks like a PW to me except I can't explain why the legs are not chamfered.
Hotshoein4 (Mark)
I kind of agree with you. From most of my research, the legs are chamfered. It's not overly important, I'd just like to figure it out. I want to take a wire wheel to it at some point to see if I can see anything else
ThomasPowers
And always remember that the screw and screw box may not be original to the vise body too.
Hotshoein4 (Mark)
Don't feel it necessary to start a new thread, so I'm going to add my latest pickup here. Any ideas in this one? There seems to be such a lack of info on vises. I'd like to just learn more about them. Thanks for all the intense information on this forum. I've learned a lot and confused myself a lot too. Haha.
