Tractorlounge Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Recently purchased this anvil. I know it is British because of the 1 0 17 marking, equating to 129 pounds. I can decipher the "SOLID ANVIL" on the other side but can not decipher the rest of the identification. Can anyone help? Thank you Quote
Farmall Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 It says "Wilkinson" on the top. I have a similar one that also has "Queens Dudley" in the center over the "x" shaped mark Quote
Tractorlounge Posted August 6, 2017 Author Posted August 6, 2017 Thank you very much. I appreciate your help. Now I just need to get a forge and start hammering! Quote
Charles R. Stevens Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Forges can be speedy if you buy one or dirt cheap, literally Quote
ThomasPowers Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 The criss crossed "hot dogs" are indicative of that brand. A good using anvil! PLEASE do not mess with the face! Quote
