gmbobnick
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope, just an anvil....assisted in flight by a handful of ignited black powder as observed at "Gold Rush Days" in South Pass City, Wyoming last weekend. JHCC
If that's the anvil, how high did the ball bearing bounce?
Frosty
John: Don't you mean, how high did the anvil bounce off the bearing? I'd like to know how big the bearing is and how they aimed the anvil. Helicopter drop maybe? Nice picture, it's gotta be hard to get the anvil right side up and away from the smoke cloud. A few of us in the AK club are having a hammer in at a river park on an upcoming weekend but I'm not shooting my anvil. The Park service might get a little . . . excited if we did. Frosty The Lucky. Daswulf
Hmm. Maybe that "Alien Satellite" that I've heard about is just an anvil that made it into orbit. gets ya thinking. Lol cool picture.

Daswulf
Did now. Maybe it's another failed attempt be Wile E Coyote. Didn't know he got into the space program.
SLAG
Herr Wulf, "Incompetence knows no limits." (SLAG) Mr. Coyote is a good example. He has joined NASA? Bully for him! Regards, SLAG.

Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Are we casting asparagus on my avatar?
ThomasPowers
Casting asparagus? What are you using as a crucible? Flux?
gmbobnick
Forging asparagus seems like it would make more sense. Would rebar make a good steel for that?
ThomasPowers
I think if you were trying to forge asparagus you would start with something like broccoli; rebar doesn't taste anything like it...Will you be serving it with the fake crab meat? Daswulf
I use cheese when I cast asparagus. But if you forge weld it with bacon it's great too. Irondragon we all know he is the "super genius."
ThomasPowers
I thought cheese was a sort of food brazing compound?

gmbobnick
Are we talking forging or foraging. For the latter I prefer a simple butter glaze on asparagus or broccoli.
ThomasPowers
Forging food does get you in less trouble than forging $20 dollar bills; one of the problems of living in the desert is that the foraging is rather slim...
