And I want to smelt aluminium with it. I tried using lighter gas but they werent hot enough. What could I use to smelt aluminium with this one? If not by blowtorch, then what would you recommend me to do? (The cheapest option).

By the way I am going to smelt aluminium cans and other aluminium junk.

Thanks everyone for help!

That's not going to cut it. If you're just starting out, try using charcoal and a hairdryer. You can use a tin can or better yet, a stainless steel container as a crucible for your first few tries. You'll only get a couple of melts in before they fail but least you'll get some experience with little cost.

Also, do as much research as you can. Use protective gear and common sense. It's a fun hobby but you need to be careful.

Yes smelting is taking ore and making metal from it. Melting is taking metal and melting it,  You can't smelt aluminum with a torch as it's an expensive complicated electrochemical process.

Have you looked over at alloyavenue.com a series of forums that used to be called backyardmetalcasting.com ?
