I suppose you could try to assemble it on the knife while putting on the scales, but I think that would be a bear to align, not to mention drilling the rivet holes. lanternnate Posted May 27, 2017 Share Posted May 27, 2017 Also consider assembling the handle as one block like it would be a hidden tang then rip lengthwise down the middle on a bandsaw to turn it into two scales. I've done this once with just different woods (project was ultimately a fail because one of the woods used was just too soft and didn't finish well).
