A&H Bullock H.Channon Co. Anvil

Any thoughts about this Bullock H. Cannon Co. Chicago Anvils value ??  its 200 lbs. made by the Columbus Anvil and Forging Company. the seller will take $700.00 for it.. thanks, JT

looks to be wrought with a plate. if rebound is  higher than 80- that would would be a fair price, may be a bit high. the face is in great shape.

That is an Arm & Hammer anvil.  Looks nice, price isnt unreasonable for today's market.  Maybe you could offer less, not sure he'll take less. Please post a close-up picture of the logo stamp, and one of the serial number on the front foot under the horn.

those are the only photos I have of it right now, he came down from $1000 but I don't think he will come down any more.. he's now at $3.50 a lb.   were many of these A&H's marked this way ?

As  Frog said that is a reasonable price given today's market particularly for the condition. 

I have seen Arm and Hammer anvils of smaller size go for a lot more.

being there weren't that many Arm & Hammer Anvils manufactured compared to other manufactures.. any ideas of how many could have been marked " Bullock H. Channon Co. Chicago "  ??

I've found just as many A&H's with the H.Channon stamp as without it.  They must have had a large contract with them.
