Tubalcain2
This Fisher is for sale in mississippi for an Uncle Ben Franklin. Ad said it it was in "well used condition". Don't think i've ever seen an anvil this bad off. I get a kick of of what some folks think about a tool's condition. At least he's not asking 800 for it. I woulda linked the ad but it may not have met g-rated forum rules.

C-1ToolSteel
I saw one anvil listed on Craigslist that said "... In great shape!". I wonder if he knew that it used to have a horn...

ThomasPowers
Sad thing is I don't even think that one is worth US$100; what's scrap rate for cast iron these days?
C-1ToolSteel
Still better than an ASO.
ThomasPowers
It is a cast iron ASO as it stands, it's lost the face and even the steel top of the horn, it doesn't have a hardy hole or pritchel and at least most ASOs have a hardy hole! I think I see some faceplate on the left. I guess it could just be the fake line in the cast iron, though.
C-1ToolSteel
I think we have a contender...
Mark Ling
if I had that I would grind that smoother so i could use it like a swage block, and you got the hardy hole, and horn. Man, i would be pretty ticked if that was my anvil. would have liked to see the face of the guy who owned that when it happened, although he probably didn't care much about it to treat it bad enough to do that to it.
