Crytin
I recently bought a leg vise for fairly cheap. Downside is it's rusted real bad and the mounting bracket appears to be made of twisted flat stock and one side broke and was welded. Should I make a new bracket or should I go ahead and use it? ThomasPowers
If it works you can do either. If it doesn't then make a different one. Twisted strap is a fairly common replacement version; but you could go U-bolt and angle iron---much like Columbian vises sometimes used or make an incredibly ornate one. Your tool your choice! Dave51B
If the flat stock was cut out of a Spam can.....I say replace it......if made from a forklift tine...I say use it Dave
