Ijimmyzw22
So this is my third knife. Hit me with corrective advice. 1058 steel hardened up great. Poplar handle. All I had. Sharp as all get out. My buddy hunts so I figured he needed a good skinner type knife. Anyways have at it.

Ijimmyzw22
It's kinda at the wrong angle in the pic. It is sanded with 120. Shiny compared to what it looks like
beech
Seems to be somewhat different from the proportions that I would have used (the blade seems a little wide for the length), but it looks pretty well done, though I think that 120 is still a bit coarse. So the title says it's your third knife, where are the first two so we can see progress?
Tubalcain2
just as a design comment from one who has skinned many animals, it might have been better to leave the back straight and bring the edge back to it. this would have allowed for more useable tip space without that pointy tip risking messy organ punctures. looks great though.
