R.torres1993
I was wondering what is the max temp a 5 gallon steel forge can reach and what meterials can be heated and woked with?
Glenn
Your forge, your set up, your location, may vary. Forges typically can get hot enough to melt Carbon Steel 1425 - 1540*C or 2600 - 2800*F
ThomasPowers
Maximum temp would probably be an forge run off electric arc and might be set up to melt tungsten. My propane forge with a single blown burner has melted steel in it before after I relined it. All materials can be heated and worked with, some like food you don't heat above 400 deg F others like metals have ranges where they may be forgable or castable. Your question is like "How many people can fit in my vehicle?" where the answer can be between 0 and several thousand depending on the vehicle and other details. Can you narrow it down any?
