Finished up this fun user for a fella that wanted something fancy but practical. It's funny that I am back to Celtic knots again, since that was my very first 3D printed cast pattern too. Never actually been a fan of Celtic knots, even though they translate to 3D well... but they do sell haha.

W2 steel hardened with clay to form a hamon, hot blued blade, 3D printed cast bronze fittings, mosaic and copper pins, and dyed stabilized burl scales.

As always, comments and critique appreciated.,
Theo

That's gorgeous.  I love how the handles look like jade.  Complements the brasswork nicely.

Thank you :) it's actually bronze, but due to the printing process it ends up impregnated with stainless powder, so it has a brass-like shine... kinda funny

Nice work Theo.  The green/brass combination always seems to work out well for some reason.  Personally I'd rather see scale the entire length of the spine or not at all, but that's just me.  I do like it and when I see those designs I wish I had the setup to make brass pieces like that.

Thank you guys.

Yeah, the scale on this is...weird... I was aiming for just a hint, then the client ended up requesting me to leave it on, but I had already ground a good amount off... and I ended up in this strange middleground
